Visit California was throwing its end of year staff party, and nothing about it was ordinary. Event caterer Cater London was creating a high-end, themed evening with a street food scene at its heart, and they needed a food truck to complete the picture.
The brief
The party was held at The Stables, a premium event space with a private courtyard in Seven Dials. Cater London wanted a food truck branded as Visit California to sit in the courtyard as part of the scenery, a centrepiece that looked the part and gave the street food scene some real character.
This was a true dry hire. Nothing was cooked on the truck itself. Cater London's chefs prepared the food out of sight behind a curtain, then brought it out to the truck and served guests straight from the hatch.
Branding and delivery
We handled all of the branding, producing and fitting the Visit California signage so the truck arrived event-ready. Then came the tricky part: getting it in.
Covent Garden is tight. Seven Dials is tighter. And the route down to The Stables is tighter still, a very narrow cobbled slope that only a compact truck like ours could manage. Once in the courtyard, a canopy overhead meant height was restricted too. With careful positioning, we slotted the truck into its corner, handed it over and left Cater London's team to run the evening.
The result
A fully branded Visit California food truck, set into a premium courtyard that few vehicles could reach, giving the party its street food centrepiece and guests a memorable way to be served.
